Her most intense characteristic is her long glossy hair, which flew freely in the wind. Hester is the strongest, the most courageous character in the novel. Over the course of the knowledge Hester remains unchanged in most areas, but her beauty and social status will vary. One of Hester’s main traits throughout the novel is strength, her strength is what makes Hester a striking figure in a very gloomy society. Hester’s strength is remained untouched throughout the novel, but as beautiful as Hester is, she cannot be perfect.
