• The main difference of carrying out standard solutions in a lab and in industry is the process. In industry the solutions can be done without the need of supervision, where as in a lab laboratory staff needs to supervise you. The machines in industry can quickly read the result and find the end point; there is hardly any room for error as these machines are very accurate and precise. However, in a lab most of the results are recorded manually which means that there is a lot of room for error suggesting that you may not always get the most accurate result. There is a difference between the glassware used in industry and in labs; in industry much more expensive glassware is used. The equipment used in industries is more accurate; an example would be an automatic titrator. An automatic titrator is used by companies to take weight samples from a balance and carry out a precise titration. The cheaper glassware used in labs include: volumetric flasks, pipettes etc.
