RUB ELBOWS WITH ROYALTY & CHEER DUELING SWORDFIGHTERS
The large, oak studded meadow of the Auburn Regional Park transports visitors to a rural English settlement bustling with activity. Come for a day of education, excitement and escape. Dress of the period and participate in the revelry or come as you are and simply enjoy the day. Colorful characters, entertainers, royalty and craftspeople roam the trade road village. Along the road, all will find food for feasting, sword fights to observe, musicians and artisans to entertain, magicians to enchant and unique, handcrafted wares for purchase.
Cain’s Crossing is a family-friendly faire offering a living history experience that is fun for the whole family. A children's glen will entertain and educate the littlest ones with engaging activities.
Our Student Passport offers a unique experience to middle-school students studying European history.
The shire is a perfect place to enjoy the day. An interesting selection of performers including musicians, dancers, actors and magicians offer an ever-changing variety entertainment on the faire stages, including the popular Ale Garden stage.
A variety of vendors offer delicious food and beverages to recharge the weary. Shop keepers and artisans offer many handicrafts - some made while you wait. All vendors are also part of the living history experience.
There is much to see and do! Make way for Queen Elizabth I's royal procession; indulge your appetite with succulent roasted meats, vegetarian dishes and ice cream; cheer dashing swordfighters dueling for honor; be facinated by street performers and entertainers; be amazed at the magician who seems to make objects appear out of the very air.
